Pisces Baby is a children's picture book by author Jen Neary, illustrated by Kellie E. Lehman. It is part of a 12 book series that focuses on each sign of the Zodiac and explores the unique character traits associated with the sign. Kellie had to opportunity to develop the characters and illustrations for each of the 12 books. Here is some insight into her process from development to the final printed material for Pisces Baby.

Developing the character: the author expressed that the Pisces baby character would be a fish and that the color palette should be rich and colorful. I chose to explore a new setting for this book by using a freshwater river fish for this character .

Designing the Cover: the cover design is cohesive with the other 11 books in the series. The Pisces animal character is featured on the front cover, and the Pisces constellation on the back cover.

Each page in the book consisted of a full spread illustration and hand placed text.
